Assembly, coassembly and the norm

Cary Malkiewich showed that the assembly map for algebraic K-theory of a finite group factorizes the norm map. We give a natural explanation of his result which allows in particular to obtain analogous results for other theories like THH and TC. This is joint work with Georg Lehner and Alexander Müller.
